About

cropped-111.jpgHello! My name is Grace and I’m a Welsh violinist currently studying a Masters in Orchestral Performance at Gothenburg University. Throughout my childhood, I played with various county ensembles and was the co-leader of the county youth orchestra . I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales for 7 years, which gave me the opportunity to tour the UK and Germany and to take part in  collaborations with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. I even got to play at the BBC Proms in 2012!

When studying in London at Trinity Laban I played with orchestras in the college, as well as London wide ensembles such as Orchestra Vitae, Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and the University of London Symphony Orchestra.

I am 2nd violin in the Horizon String Quartet which was formed with other Trinity students in 2013. We perform regularly at weddings and other events, and enjoy arranging the music for these occasions.

I have been lucky enough to play in the band for a number of musical theatre productions such as West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof. In 2010 I played in the orchestra for Shadwell Opera’s highly successful productions of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Britten’s A Midsummer Nights Dream on the Edinburgh Fringe.  Since being in London, I have been in the band for the London Contemporary Theatre Company’s radio version of A Christmas Carol, and on the soundtrack for their play She Stoops to Conquer.
